What do you do when you get stuck?
We’ve all been there. The indecision, the overwhelm, the fear…
I was walking past our local creek the other day, and there was a nasty stench in the air where the water was still and stagnant. But just around the bend, the creek was flowing freely, the air smelled crisp, and there was a completely different “feel”.
There are different eco-systems in each part of the creek, and they are all necessary.
Just as there are three necessary cycles we need to embrace in our coaching businesses.
The first is Theory.
This is the learning phase of doing something new. Either by reading, watching, or in a training environment. We need to always be learning, so we can move toward mastery.
“If you’re green, you’re growing. If you’re ripe, you’re rotten”.
The second phase is Implementation.
This is the phase where we implement our learnings. It’s the action, or the doing phase. Without implementation, the theory is useless.
“You can’t learn to ride a bike in a classroom”.
And the third phase is Pause.
This is the phase where many people feel guilty for procrastinating. But if done with the right intention, this necessary phase will give us the path to move forward.

Understanding how and when to embrace each of these phases in your business, will have you in flow and growing your business.
Get the mix wrong, and you’ll either get stagnant and stale, or burn out.
