Did you know that only 3-5% of people who pay for online courses actually complete them? The majority of students never complete their program because they’re left to their own devices right from the moment they are sent their logins.
So what can you do to ensure your online program stands out from the crowd, while making sure that your customers complete your program and have them utilizing their newfound skills and knowledge?
Not all online programs are created equal, and there are some aspects you need to take a look at when you build your online program.
Create unique content
Know that you are unique.
You have your own zone of genius.
You have your own preferred delivery method when working with your clients.
Take all of this into consideration you can create a hybrid model for your online program that has you shining in your zone of genius.
Coach your client towards success
Rather than leaving your students to their own devices, continue to establish a relationship with them via coaching sessions and accountability within the program. Monitor their progress and help them stay focussed so that they can complete your program.
Build a community
Include a mechanism for your customers to create relationships and deeper conversations. You don’t have to create a complex mechanism. Remember the important lesson in Design: simpler is better. You could create a Facebook group or a chat group within the program that only your clients have access to.
This mechanism can create a feeling of inclusion, support, and accountability among your customers. It can also be a good way to make people continue to work with you.
Conclusion
Create a clear vision of the outcomes you want your clients to achieve, and design and create a framework that you can easily step your students through. Keep your customer’s needs and wants top of mind so that you can create an inclusive program that suits their needs.
